Kids for a Cure

JDRF Michigan Great Lakes West
Kids for a Cure

  • Teach community values to your students
  • Educate your students and faculty about diabetes
  • Have fun in the process

The Michigan Great Lakes West Chapter invites you and your school to partner with us in an effort to teach students about diabetes and raise money for type 1 diabetes research that will one day lead to a cure. We would like to bring a fundraising and education program we call “Kids for a Cure” right into your classrooms.

handGet involved in several ways:

Spare Change Collection: JDRF will provide classroom collection containers with colorful stickers to decorate the containers and individual student collection bags. Plus, JDRF will provide a party or school supplies to the classroom that collects the most money!

Kids Walk: JDRF will provide pledge collection envelopes, plus walkers are
eligible to earn prizes based on funds raised!

Paper Sneakers: Sell JDRF paper sneakers and line your walls with red, blue, green and yellow sneakers!

To sign up for Kids for a Cure, simply complete the form (click here) and submit it to JDRF today! In addition to the supplies requested, JDRF staff will send you a folder filled with helpful information and templates to use for your fundraiser, and be in touch to answer questions and serve as a resource – it’s that easy!

  • Your school can earn a banner to celebrate your fundraising achievements
  • Students can earn fun prizes with the Kids Walk depending on the amount of money they collect.

Let’s get started today on creating your school’s own “Kids for a Cure” program!
